Out of control

Having spent five years in the military, my husband has developed agoraphobia, which is widely known as a fear of open spaces. That is because he had been on the verge of death twice, and now his condition is difficult to control. I can hardly open any windows in order to let some fresh air in because his panic attacks kick in right away, and he would start sweating and losing breath. One time, we were invited for dinner at a friend's house, and our host was waiting for the 24 hour sysosset locksmith service, so he had to leave the door open. Unable to control his fear, my husband left the table and locked himself in the restroom.
